Learn More About the People Behind Mt. Bachelor Fitness Shop
Our store is unique in that not only do we sell quality equipment, but we provide in-house, full-time service personnel that respond quickly to keep your equipment in top-shape while at the same time having accredited expertise in personal training to keep your body in top-shape.
The owners Keith and Sandi Beutler moved to Bend in 1987. Being excited about Mt Biking we started our lives together as business partners at Mt. Bachelor Bike. In college, Keith majored in Exercise Science and Sandi in Human Development and Performance. Here in the beginning of the Mt Bike explosion, they rode the wave until they saw that the fitness market was growing and a new market was prime to explore.
Focusing their energy on selling and delivering quality exercise equipment engineered for durability and improving lifestyle, they have crafted a business that has allowed them to live in Bend and enjoy the good fortune of what it has to offer.
When not in the store you can find Keith and Sandi training and enjoying the Central Oregon lifestyle, biking, paddling, running, sailing, fly fishing, boarding, and hiking. Next spring they will travel to Salt Lake City to enjoy their son Chance's college lacrosse games at Westminster College. Their daughter Maryn was a D1 soccer player who graduated from the University of Oregon with a journalism degree and is now a recruiter.
Don Cofoed has worked for us for 25 years. He is our full-time service technician and spends his time doing sales. Don really understands how the equipment works along with how it can improve the quality of someone's life. He is an authorized Service Technician for SportsArt and is certified to work on brands like Precor, True, Hoist, and Vectra, to name a few.
In his free time, he enjoys the Central Oregon lifestyle, biking, skiing, and kayaking with his wife Joan.
History and Philosophy
Mt. Bachelor Fitness Shop has been serving Central Oregon for more than 25 years. As a full-service shop we sell, repair, maintain, and consign exercise equipment. We also provide personal training.
Since opening up shop in 1987, with the population sign at 16,000, we have seen and been part of the many changes to the place we call home. Despite those changes, the thing that hasn't changed is the fact that we have to be fit to work and play effectively. That is what we are all about - becoming fit, staying fit, and improving on our fitness continually.
Outside it's cold, it's dark, it's raining, it's snowing, and you're squeezed for time. The weekend is coming and that could mean biking, skiing, fishing, golfing, hunting, or climbing and you want to be ready.
You live in Central Oregon and if you're fit enough you just might be able to do it all. Your friends are fit and you don't want to be left behind, so you fire up the spin bike, the treadmill or the elliptical and get to work all in the comfort of your own home.
No driving, no traffic, no lines, no obnoxious odors, you watch the big screen with your show and you don't have to wear headphones. The best part is your friends are trying to keep up with you. Now we're talking.
We have many types of programs for all ages. Please come in for a FREE consultation
